my first band was the " Cobras"
It was 6th grade, I think.
Our only gig was a dance recital.
First time on stage.

Yes folks, it happened long ago in a Galaxy far far away (Atlanta) before "I Walk the Line" was a movie. I was indeed playing the song already (at age seven) and "Wildwood Flower" as well.
In the 9th grade I started playing with a band called the
"PEPPERMINT SOCIETY" and it lasted til the 11th grade. We stole our suits from Paul Revere and the Raiders. We won more battle of the bands than anyone I know. I first saw Ted Nugent during this time. We got to open show's for one hit wonders Underground Sunshine, and Bubble Puppy, along with now icons, Ted Nugent, and Bob Segar.
This is the infamous club where Al Cooper from
Blood, Sweat, & Tears came in, jammed with us, and later that night signed the other band on the bill with us.........Lynyrd Skynryd.
this is a historic moment in time!
" Hippy Nicky and Ted Nugent"
Ted was my favorite entertainer at the time. I was about 18 here, and Ted probably 23. I did dive off a stack of amps one night with nothing but 2 rabbit fur flaps covering the goods, emulating Ted!

how to get feedback on "Loaded for Bear."
This was a great band, we played Piedmont Park back in the free music day, also Auditoriums, sports arenas, opened for Hydra, Skynyrd, Fanny, Rare Earth and others.
The next project for me was "ARMON". I never show this picture because of the ridicules makeup that we wore for this one and only photo session. The band was better than the make up. Made up of Gary "Armon" Fuller, Nicky Ford, Jimmy Carson (RIP), Don Brand and Jimmy Pucket. We were more into originals and our own versions of covers. We opened for Skynyrd, Hydra, Stories, Bloodrock, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Chaka Kahn & Rufus, and Pink Floyd, to name a few.
