Producer Paul Sabu joins Secretz in Producing an EP with lots of interest from film makers to use songs in a movie similar to Rocky Horror Picture Show. Results...... a great recording but...... the film deal did not materialize, just as the video for one of the songs produced by MTV did not. Next? an album recorded by Legendary English producer Geoff Workman (23 Platiinum credits) at the infamous Cherokee studios in Hollywood (exec. prod. Darrahl Foley). Another great recording but, through the use of one of Hollywoods infamous Entertainment Lawyers this too would never be released. IN 1989 Secretz did hear 4 of their songs on the big screen in the production of "Fast Food" starring Jim Varney and Tracey Lords. This movie is shown Internationally to this day on HBO, Showtime, TMC, and. It's on "On Demand."
It was the Big Hair 80's. The Rainbow, The Whisky,

Keeping the South alive while out in Hollywood!
in the end, Stars n Bars went 3 piece and changed the name (to be more politically correct ) to POWERLINE. And.........on the way had an original tune placed on Compilation #4 "Best Unsigned L.A. Bands" CD on Rock City Records. And, were fortunate enough to have MTV's Series "Live Through This" producers ask if they could use this same song "What You Give To Me" in espisode #11 of their series. NEXT........... Well, after an attempt to move the band to Atlanta, it ended up only my moving. I've kept the name going in Atlanta with 2 of the finest musicians I've had the opportunity to play with.....Tony Langham and Johnny Long. Check them out on the Powerline Global website (Link below)
